Very Berjaya

- Lester Gopela Hallig -

MANILA, Philippines - Berjaya Manila Hotel is definitely living up to its name, a Malay word that means success. Located in Makati City, it is attracting its share of satisfied local and foreign guests, and is now becoming a go-to hotel for people on vacation and in business.

Since opening its doors two years ago, Berjaya Manila Hotel has been enjoying a steady stream of clientele, buoyed no less by its ideal location, complete facilities and services. In fact, everything about Berjaya Manila Hotel speaks nothing but comfort and quality.

Found right where the action is, Berjaya Manila Hotel is within minute from Manila’s top recreation venues and attractions. “Both leisure and business travelers will have no problem going to their destinations around town,” says Berjaya Manila Hotel general manager Maria Aurora Rementilla.

“Whether you are here to enjoy the tourist spots or seal a business deal, Berjaya Manila Hotel is making it all easy for you,” Rementilla says.

Berjaya Manila Hotel currently has 179 rooms, with additional 33 rooms on the way. Each room is equipped with individually controlled air conditioning, cable television, Wi-Fi, mini bar, tea and coffee-making facilities, and private bath and shower, among others.

Rooms are categorized into deluxe, deluxe premiere, studio suite, studio premiere suite, premiere suite, and executive suite. Whichever room you choose, says the general manager, you can be sure that your needs will be well taken care of by their staff.

“In fact, our staff is the reason why our guests keep coming back,” she declares. “They love the personalized services which our staff extends to them. Guests appreciate it so much that they even recommend us to their friends and colleagues.”

For sure, these same guests were also raving about the food and beverage outlets of Berjaya Manila Hotel. There’s El Prado, which serves a la carte and buffet choices featuring Asian and international favorites for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Cocktails, canapés, finger foods, and liquor are found at El Paseo Bar. At the lounge area, there’s Las Ramblas where relaxing sounds, food and drinks are served.

“Soon our new Indian chef will be serving halal food,” she announces.

“We have live bands performing here,” she offers. “Guests love the retro-80s songs being played at the bar. As you can see, we do have something for everyone, whatever your age or nationality is.”

It is a formula that works mightily well for the hotel. The soon-to-open gym and spa areas are welcome additions to the hotel’s existing facilities. There are already three function rooms at Berjaya Manila Hotel: Javea, Las Ventas, and Las Monumental. Each can be configured for intimate gatherings or grand affairs for up to 200 attendees.

There is a business center, a gift shop, a 24-hour doctor on-call, 24-hour room service, and more. An executive lounge and more outlets are in the pipeline this year. Indeed, this hotel is leaving no stone unturned in the necessity department.

Berjaya Manila Hotel is also not resting on its laurels. Its well-loved personalized service will continue to please new and come-backing guests, with new and improved services on their way. Doubtless, this is the kind of success that the hotel is deservedly enjoying. It is about time Berjaya Manila Hotel gets discovered more.
