MANILA, Philippines — She is vengeance and redemption in My Name. A fiery-haired antagonist in The World of the Married. She couldn’t resist love paved by red flags in Nevertheless. In her latest work, she finds her inspiration in Soundtrack #1. She has done period pieces, too. The award-winning Korean star Han So-hee proves her mettle and range with every project, but who is the real So-hee?

Her campaign for global Filipino brand Penshoppe gives us a glimpse of this. In an exclusive interview, she admits, “My personal style is very much aligned with the Penshoppe branding, so I get to dress up in clothes I love.”

She gravitates to a muted palette of earth tones. Penshoppe’s tailored take on breathable linen in button-down shirts, dresses, and shorts are no-nonsense, versatile, and stand out every time — just like the actress herself.

“At the same time, Penshoppe’s wide range of offers allows me to experiment with different styles, and it’s exciting to know that I can count on its versatility for my own fashion endeavors,” she adds. We can definitely see her in a Penshoppe tracksuit for My Name or a rosy pink look (K-drama visual code for a romantic confession scene) with Nevertheless co-star and fellow Penshoppe ambassador Song Kang. “It’s such a thrill to work with Penshoppe.”

Jeff Bascon, The Penshoppe Group (Golden ABC)’s vice president for brand management, is enthusiastic about having her on the brand’s all-star roster of endorsers. “Han So-hee’s classic beauty and vibrant personality match not only our latest collection, but also the Penshoppe branding. We are excited to showcase Han So-hee’s versatile ability to pull off any style, as we’ve seen her do with every role she plays.”

The Philippines is definitely on So-hee’s must-visit list. “I hope to meet my Filipino fans soon, and personally thank them for the love and support they have shown me and my work over the past years,” she says. “I also know that a uniquely vibrant culture awaits me. I’ve had a glimpse of it through Penshoppe, and I can’t wait to experience it in full!”

So-hee joins world-famous ambassadors across industries in Penshoppe. The roster includes model-turned-actor Nam Joo-hyuk, K-pop stars Sandara Park of 2NE1, Lisa of Blackpink, and Cha Eun-woo, who’s both K-pop group Astro’s “visual” and a promising actor himself, and this generation’s supermodels Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, proving Penshoppe’s global appeal.
