Style Origin at Glorietta:The heart of the city

- Bea J. Ledesma -

MANILA, Philippines - Glorietta is evolving.

For most folks who grew up in neighboring Makati in the ’90s, Glorietta was its epicenter — home to everything and everyone you wanted to see. TGIF was the place to lunch and Tower Records was the place to hang and purchase CDs and act cool.

Since then, Glorietta has grown, becoming the central space in the lives of everyone functioning in the business district. It’s the heart of the central business district after all — accessible by public transport, connected to nearby buildings via walkways, surrounded by hotels, offices and residences.

Its unpretentious atmosphere and wide range of shopping, dining and entertainment options make it the place to be for people with plenty to accomplish — or with nothing on their agenda. There’s nothing like whiling away the afternoon, window shopping, grabbing a bite with friends or checking out what’s new at the cinema.

But there’s a change coming for Glorietta, which is in the middle of a large-scale redevelopment. Soon to be home to the flagship stores of Mango, Guess, Nike, Folded & Hung, Kamiseta and Bayo, it’s also the place for soon-to-open new labels in the metro, like high street labels Bershka and Stradivarius.

Fashion is the heart of Glorietta, which has a wide range of fashion, the must-see mix of local and international brands. Whether trend-spotting at The Ramp at Crossings or Dorothy Perkins or Plains & Prints, Glorietta pretty much has the market cornered on everything.

It’s fashion for everyone.
