CHUVANNESS - Cecile Van Straten -

Comme des Garçons opened a pop-up store in Aoyama last Sept. 4 offering six limited-edi-tion bags — a collaboration between Rei Kawakubo and Louis Vuitton. The bags are available by order only through the store and can be shipped to the Louis Vuitton store of your choice.

The popup store will be open for only three months, so stop by if you’re going to Tokyo.

A sneak peak into the Japanese Vuitton site revealed the following prices:

Party Bag PM, ¥78,750

Party Bag GM, ¥96,600

Mini Speedy Customise, ¥178,500

Papillon Customise , ¥194,250

Sac Deux Poches (re-edited bag), ¥155,400

Petit Marceau (re-edited bag), ¥120,750

Now, who wants to go?

Shop LIST

The first freestanding Fred Perry store opens this October 15 at Greenbelt 5 (Phase 2) and is brought to you by the same group that brought Balenciaga to Manila.

Mark Gonzalez of Homme et Femme says the Fred Perry store will offer ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, and accessories — “the whole shebang” — for men and women, including the bespoke service offered only in New York, London, and Manila.

A Fred Perry bespoke shirt takes around 45 days from order to shipping and is priced at P8,000.

This Fred Perry store will highlight limited-edition collaborations with the likes of Paul Weller, Jessica Ogden, and &Son by Simon Foxton and Nick Griffiths.

Get this

I’ve tried all sorts, but I’m seriously loving this Fasio Hyper-Stay Mascara Shock Free from Rustan’s. (I know, long name.) But honestly, you can count on the Japanese to innovate on the smallest things.

What I love about this is the unique, curled and ribbed wand that applies the boldest thickness to your lashes.

The price is fantastic at only P395. I’ve seen girls do funny things to their lashes that cost much more and looks like a mess, so I highly recommend this product. The downside is it tends to stay for a very long time, so careful removal is recommended at the end of the day. It’s that good.

Just dreaming

I first saw this uSpace by Osim at Hong Kong’s Delay No Mall in Causeway Bay. They had a corner where you could rent one of these to catch a short nap or just chill. I wish malls in Manila had these to rent out. I would certainly pay to use this.

Got to try the actual thing at The Podium when no one was looking. I had it for 20 minutes. The high-tech seat basically reclines while this hood comes up on top of your head with relaxing lights and sounds.

I found the leg and foot “massage” relaxing. This is seriously one of those things you want to have if you have money to burn. It costs P389,000 but is available at deferred payments in 12 months, zero-percent interest (I asked).

Now, if only there were space around the house…
