Crème de la cleanser

If you’re a beauty maven worth your sea salt, you’ve surely heard of Crème de la Mer. It’s the miracle cream touted by every fashionable magazine and celebrity, from Madonna to Jennifer Lopez, from Heather Locklear to Sharon Stone. Courteney Cox-Arquette is addicted to it; Victoria Beckham says she can’t live without it.
What’s in this uber-moisturizer that makes it so special? The cream was created by Max Huber, a NASA aerospace physicist who suffered serious chemical burns on his face and eyes after working with rocket fuels. To minimize scarring and aid his recovery, Huber tried a number of medical treatments and creams before deciding to make his own wonder salve.
