Hoka makes presence felt at 16,500-strong FCC Women’s Run 2026

MANILA, Philippines — It was a day of women empowerment as Pinay runners from all walks of life and across age categories finished their distances at the FCC Women’s Run 2026 last March 8 at SM Mall of Asia.
Making its presence felt at the event is Hoka, as the official shoe partner, introduced the latest evolution of its popular Mach series—the Mach 7. The Hoka booth showcased the Mach 7 and offered fittings and free trials for the runners who wanted to experience the model at the event.
Joining the run, I wore my Mach 7 pair and it delivered both strength and speed—not to mention the signature comfort Hoka shoes are known for. Take note that it’s only the second time I used the pair, and even ran the 16-km category.

There’s no surprise here as the first time I stepped into the Mach 7, I immediately noticed its difference from most “speed” shoes, which could feel punishingly firm. It’s not just responsive for speed, it’s also well-cushioned for comfort in every stride.
This is made possible by the Mach 7’s high-energy foam midsole, which delivers cushioning while staying light on the feet. The result is an efficient and smooth ride, especially if you are gunning for a new PB (personal best)—like me—or just staying committed to your daily runs.
Adding to the wearability of the Mach 7 is the creel jacquard construction of its upper, which felt like a second skin. It also features zonal breathability that kept my feet cool throughout the race.
When doing turns through the SM Mall of Asia grounds, I felt stable thanks to the new internal gusset system. This enhanced fit and stability kept my foot in place, so I didn’t experience slides or rubs. The Durabrasion rubber at the heel prevented friction, while the speed-centric tongue laid flat against my foot.
So thanks to my Hoka Mach 7, I was able to cut 15 minutes from my previous PB, and did a sub-2 finish.
Other Pinay participants who availed of the free trial experienced the Mach 7’s high-performing specs. Apart from this, runners who visited the Hoka booth enjoyed exclusive promotions, freebies and interactive activities, giving them the chance to learn more about the brand’s running innovations.
Hoka Marketing Manager Danice Abril stated that Hoka's participation in the FCC Women's Run 2026 was intended to empower Filipinas. She emphasized that they are not limited in their potential and that, in line with the brand's tagline, they can "fly higher together" with Hoka.
“Our booth here in the Women's Run really emphasizes our trial pairs. We want them to experience it. We want them to experience the brand, [we want to] uplift them, and just really help them fly higher with us,” Abril told Philstar.com.
The Mach 7 is available in several distinct colorways for both men and women, ranging from understated neutral tones to bold, high-contrast options. Shop it at Hoka exclusive stores in One Ayala Mall, GH Mall, SM Aura, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, and Trinoma. It is also available online at hoka.ph and Zalora.
