Weight loss journey continues with post-Cohen program

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - To encourage Cohen graduates who desire to continue their wellness and weight loss journey, the Cohen’s Lifestyle Centre has launched a Post-Cohen Support Program, reveals executive director Dr. Angel Bandola.

“At the Centre, it is important for us to ensure that our graduates will be able to sustain the Cohen lifestyle and manage their weight. Offering this program helps us promote such a total lifestyle change advocacy,” she explains.

The Post-Cohen Support Program package includes three monthly face-to-face consultations and blood pressure checkup and weigh-in visits, unlimited consultations through calls/SMS/email or Skype for three months, and general health monitoring through blood test results.

In addition, the Cohen’s Lifestyle Centre is holding two workshops that will enhance the graduates’ ability to manage their weight: Mind Your Body and My Lifestyle Kitchen (MyLK) Cooking Class.

At the Mind Your Body workshop, Cohen’s Lifestyle Centre CEO Barbara Young, who is also a life coach and certified hypnotherapist, will teach the attendees techniques for programming their mind for weight loss, by controlling their cravings, preventing “emotional eating,” and managing stress.

Meanwhile, the MyLK Cooking Class will feature exciting ways to prepare healthy food, right at the Cohen Lifestyle Centre’s well-equipped kitchen at its spacious, one-stop facility in The Fort. Attendees will be provided with recipes and a sample menu planner, and get to taste all-time favorite dishes prepared the Cohen way.

“We want members of the Cohen community to also enjoy the habit of eating healthy food, so we have continued to innovate and improvise to make our meals tasty and appetizing,” Dr. Angel points out.

The MyLK teaches clients and their helpers the basics of Cohen cooking principles through the Cohen 101 series. Themed classes (Asian, Italian, Filipino, Breakfast, etc.) are also taught by cooks and chefs on the Cohen program to add variety to the Cohen recipe collection.

With this new program, there truly is no excuse for graduates to slack off after losing weight. As Dr. Bandola says, “We want Cohen graduates not just to lose weight temporarily, but more importantly, be healthy for the rest of their lives.”
