The air is cleaner with Sharp
MANILA, Philippines - Sharp Philippines recently introduced its healthy line of products that are powered by the Plasmacluster Ion Technology, a revolutionary air-sanitizing technology that is a differentiating feature in Sharp appliances. The event at the New World Hotel Makati was hosted by TV hosts/couple Paolo Abrera and Suzi Entrata-Abrera.
Aptly dubbed “Home Safe Home,” the event was part of the company’s activities to educate Filipinos on the many health benefits of PCI Technology. Guests were welcomed to a simulated home with a lifelike gallery of a bedroom, living room, kitchen, den and nursery, all equipped with Sharp PCI appliances. The products on display included split-type air conditioners, air purifiers, ion generators, car ion generators and a refrigerator.
While hosts Paolo and Suzi explained the applications of the PCI technology at home and how it can drastically improve air quality for the whole family, Sharp’s Manager for Corporate Sales Peter Villanueva enlightened the guests about the science behind it.
“Unlike other air-sanitizing technologies that draw microbes, dust and other airborne contaminants through a filtration system, the Plasmacluster Ion Technology generates positive and negative ions that attack airborne viruses and microbes in the air, inactivating them,” said Peter Villanueva, Sharp’s manager for corporate sales.
Similar to nature’s self-cleaning system, Plasmacluster ions in high densities eliminate more than 99 percent of air impurities in any given environment. Releasing 25,000 ions within a one cubic centimeter space, the PCI Technology inhibits the infectivity of airborne bacteria, allergens and viruses like A(H1N1) and Bird Flu. It also effectively removes and prevents dust, molds and adhering odor.
“The truth is, the walls of your home aren’t enough to protect you from the polluted air outside, even if you keep your spaces smelling fresh and clean. Germs and viruses can infiltrate the house without us even knowing about it,” added Villanueva. “With Sharp’s appliances powered by PCI technology, the home is always a safer place.”
