Manila, Philippines - Classic doesn’t mean old or ancient. It means timeless and outstanding, like literature and works of art of enviable standards. Classic is beauty captivated by this former beauty queen who has remained beautiful, inside and out, through the years Bb. Pilipinas 2005 Gionna Cabrera.
Now 29, the versatile beauty queen works as an action officer for the Vice President’s Office for International Affairs. She says, “Working for the Vice President of the Philippines has taught me the rudiments of the government. It is professionally rewarding. My schedule is erratic but worth it when an event or task at hand is successful.”
Posh under pressure, Gionna maintains the alluring charm that got her the Miss Photogenic Award at the Miss Universe competition in 2005. “It is a rare achievement I am proud of,” she exclaims. She says that being able to represent the country in the pageant was the greatest achievement in her life.
On days off her desk, she enjoys swimming, shopping and dining out with her friends and family. Knowing she does well in her chosen field and being able to celebrate life with her family bring her ultimate happiness. She also finds inspiration from vivid colors and beautiful natural landscapes the glorified assets of her island hometown in Quezon province.
Her advice to women? “Invest in classic pieces of quality and add flattering colors to your wardrobe.” Her makeup style is subtle dewy base, defined brows, neutral eyes and vermillion lips at night while a tawny shade for the lips and cheeks with pot eyeliner during the day.
At the end of the day, she believes that it is inner beauty that guarantees happiness. “Be creative in expressing your spirit through your look or way of dressing. Be grateful to those who are good to you and remain steadfast in your faith,” she shares.
