STAR DREAM GIRL: Isabel Blaesi

-

Collecting makeup is a favorite hobby for most girls. Half-Swiss, half-Filipino Isabel Blaesi affirms of this. “I love collecting makeup. I have four kits of them,” she gushes. The 17-year-old, however, shares that she doesn’t use this collection of hers. “I just like collecting them,” she explains.

The 5’5” charmer is the daughter of the late watchmaker Robert Blaesi and wife Susan. Although she misses her dad, she draws inspiration from her mom who never forgets to remind her to appreciate the people who love her.

“I’m an actress, that’s a job,” proudly says Isabel, who enjoys her stint because “you work with your friends and you work with great people.” A junior high school at ABS-CBN Distance Learning Center, she considers juggling showbiz projects and school assignments a great achievement for a teen actress like her. “In this business, you just have to be strong emotionally and physically.”

Traveling is one of the things she does to unwind from the stress of her work. “I’d like to see the world before I die. There’s so much more to see,” says Isabel. Reading books, watching movies, swimming and listening to music are some of her pastimes.

This self-confessed crybaby, sensitive and OC (obsessive-compulsive) is also into Japanese food, specifically salmon sashimi and California maki. Isabel, who’s simply clad in a clean top and skinny jeans most of the time, dreamt of being in the medical profession but realized while growing up that her heart yearned for the bright lights.

“Just have faith in God no matter how hard everything gets,” believes this young and vibrant girl — someone who is serious in improving her craft.  –– Jerni May H. Camposano
