The beauty of friendship
A delightful evening of good food and great company unfolded as the ever-gracious Nene Leonor hosted an intimate dinner for dear old and newfound friends at the elegant Peking Room of Canton Road restaurant, Shangri-La The Fort, Manila in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. Guests were treated to a sumptuous feast of Cantonese specialties, warm laughter, and heartfelt conversations – a true celebration of camaraderie and fine taste.
An evening of joy, fellowship, and fine fare
A delightful night unfolded at Hua Yuan Brasserie Chinoise restaurant in Hilton Manila, Pasay City, as members of the CIN CIN group came together to celebrate the birthday of a remarkable lady, Dr. Elsie Pascua. This intimate dinner was filled with laughter, exquisite Chinese fare, and warm camaraderie, making it an evening to remember for the celebrator and her guests.
Of remarkable icons and leaders
Year-on-year, the Johnny Awards is a cinematic tribute to friendship, legacy, and excellence. Now in its third installment slated for July 21 at the Grand Hyatt Manila in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, it continues its tradition of honoring both cherished friends and distinguished public figures whose legacies have touched your columnist’s life and inspired many others.
With director Raymond Villanueva’s signature flair, the celebration once again draws from the silver screen with this year’s thematic muse casting its gaze eastward. “The Emperor,” our Oriental-inspired theme, provides a majestic backdrop against which our stories of gratitude and humanitarianism unfold. Guests will be treated to a dazzling Chinese-themed fashion show echoing this year’s homage to the elegance and mystique of the Orient.
In past years, the Johnny Awards has given recognitions to visionary leaders and pillars of industry such as Wilcon Depot’s Dr. William Belo, Bonifacio Landmark Realty and Development Corporation’s Hans Hauri, Wamrus’ Joy Rustia, and ABS-CBN legends Freddie Garcia and Charo Santos-Concio. Under the leadership of chairman Marissa Fenton and co-chairman Roselle Rebano, we welcome a new constellation of honorees this year, including dynamic Intele vice president Cecille Bravo and construction powerhouse Lynn Bautista, as well as some of my lifelong companions whose friendship has stood the test of time, namely, music icon Martin Nievera, Jewelmer’s Jacques Christophe Branellec, and cultural patron Nene Leonor.
The Johnny Awards stays true to recognizing individuals who lead with heart, purpose, and integrity.
