MANILA, Philippines – Vice presidential aspirant Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero thanked Sen. Antonio “Sonny” Trillanes IV and the Magdalo group for endorsing his running mate Sen. Grace Poe’s presidential bid in the 2016 elections.

”I thank Senator Trillanes for supporting the presidential candidacy of Senator Grace in 2016 and for believing that she will be an excellent president,” Escudero said in a press statement.

”By embracing Senator Grace’s platform of government, he is one with all of us in our vision for a government that truly cares and genuinely serves the people. This is very much appreciated,” he said.

Escudero said Trillanes is “qualified and has every right to offer himself” for higher position.

”I wish him all the best,” he added.
