I am a mom in my early 30s with a two-year-old baby. I will admit motherhood has taken a toll on my appearance so I’d like to do a makeover. I have always worn my hair long and straight, but it has started to feel boring. I want a change. Can you recommend a good and trusted hairstylist? I live in the south and going any place farther feels like an excursion, so preferably someone in the Alabang area, please.

I am in search of lip color that is super sheer and looks pretty and natural. What do you recommend to set the foundation? What do you use to remove your eye makeup?

Oil right: Laura Mercier’s Gel Lip Colour in Sweet Cherry shade has an emollient-rich formula which contains peach, apricot, and almond oils. Available at Rustan’s Laura Mercier has this Gel Lip Colour in a shade called Sweet Cherry. It is very pretty and flattering. Christian Dior has superfine loose powder that makes skin look exquisite, but I also like HD Microfinish Powder from Make Up Forever. It is translucent and does not feel heavy at all on skin. For eye makeup, I just use Johnson’s Baby Oil because it is so reliable and nostalgic. You can also try Lancome Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover. In just a few, easy wipes, you get mascara off very cleanly.
