Tala meets JÔ

It was written in the stars. It was destiny. Mavis and I were meant to meet. We shared a table in one of the charity balls here in Manila last year and we discussed business in passing, never thinking that one day, our labels would make a perfect pair.

Named after “bright star” in Filipino, Tala is a brand inspired by today’s Filipina and the many activities that make up her life. When Mavis gave me a call to invite me to spruce up her new collection, I immediately said, ”yes!” The three-day trunk show was so well received that we extended it for the whole month of April. We hit it off so well. While we were setting up, we were already having the time of our lives pairing my pieces to her collection. We were like little girls again playing dress-up.
