MANILA, Philippines — Lawyer Lorna Kapunan sent her best wishes to newlyweds actress Bea Alonzo and businessman Vincent Co and clarified that she had no personal knowledge about the rumored prenuptial agreement between the two.

Kapunan served as one of Bea's legal counsels.

In a recent press conference, the lawyer was asked for her reaction about the secret wedding of Bea and Vincent at the Makati City Hall earlier this week and the prenup issue.

“People are asking, did I make the prenuptial agreement? Actually, I wish I did,” Kapunan said.

“Where did you get that (prenup issue)?” Kapunan asked the reporter.

The reporter mentioned that he got the information from a vlog and the legal counsel denied it.

“I really have no personal knowledge," Kapunan said.

"Well, putting on my lawyer’s hat, I’ll advise all of you girls here, don’t get married,” she added, drawing laughter from the crowd.

Bea and Vincent tied the knot in a civil ceremony in Makati last Monday, July 13, officiated by Makati mayor Nancy Binay. Binay and entertainment host Ogie Diaz were among the first to post and confirm about the celebrity couple tying the knot.

Before their Monday nuptials, Bea and Vincent were rumored to have a wedding in Spain, where Bea is a legal resident through Golden Visa.

Their marriage banns in a Manila parish was made public last March.

Rumors of breakup swirled prior to their civil wedding and issues kept floating, among which was the alleged prenuptial agreement.

Joey V. Garcia of Gera Law confirmed to GMA News in a statement that Bea and Vincent did sign a prenuptial agreement but clarified speculations about it.

"The earlier reports suggesting that there was any dispute, hesitation, or unresolved issue concerning a prenuptial agreement are not accurate," Garcia said.

"I must state clearly and unequivocally, for the record and in fairness to all concerned, that a prenuptial agreement was duly signed executed and entered into freely and voluntarily by the contracting parties, Ms. Bea Alonzo and Mr. Vincent Co, without issue," the lawyer added.
