MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya stars Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino tested positive for COVID-19 at around the same time and are reportedly the only members of their show's cast to have contracted COVID.

Due to their shared illness, Kim and Paulo attended the press conference for the teleserye version of their Prime Video series "Linlang" via video conference early this week.

The two are currently working together on the local adaptation of the hit South Korean series "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim."

“Buhay pa rin po ang COVID kaya tinamaan po kaming dalawa. Gusto nga namin na makasama namin kayo diyan, kaya lang ito lang ang nakayanan namin,” Kim said.

Prior to Kim and Paulo, actress Jessy Mendiola revealed that she also tested positive for COVID-19 again.

In her Instagram story, Jessy posted a photo of Luis nursing their daughter Peanut.

"Thank you for taking care of her Papa @luckymanzano," Jessy said.

Jessy said that it saddened her to test positive for COVID-19 because she can't be with her family.

“It’s so hard not to be with you guys, but momma has to isolate first," she said.

She also reminded the public that COVID-19 is still here.

“Covid is still very much around guys! Ingat," she said.

It can be recalled that Jessy tested positive for COVID-19 when she was still pregnant with Peanut.

“I never thought I would get it while 5 months (and 3 weeks) pregnant,” she wrote on Instagram.
