MANILA, Philippines — At the inauguration and blessing of Mahalta Resort last Dec. 12, Carl Balita, president and CEO of the Dr. Carl E. Balita Review Center, welcomed guests, including Calapan City Tourism officer Christian Gaud, Rep. Rey Umali, Gov. Boy Umali, Rep. Doy Leachon, DOST director Josefina Abilay, PCCI QC president Sarah Deloraya-Mateo, Mahalta chief architect Alfred Carandang, Robert Seña and Isay Alvarez, Hashtags Vitto Marquez and Kid Yambao.

Located in a quaint and accessible barangay in Calapan City, Mahalta hopes to be a haven for those seeking peace and quiet. Other amenities are infinity/glass pool, convention center, café and vegetable farm. 

The resort boasts of facilities that make it a perfect venue for weddings, pre-nup photoshoot, birthdays, baptismal, seminars, corporate teambuilding, retreat, Christmas party and other special events. In fact, the Acoustic Battle, Mrs. Mahalta beauty pageant and Bankathon were held here recently.

Also, Mahalta serves delectable, healthy and reasonably-priced food. It offers buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner with appetizers, salad, soups, five to eight main dishes, desserts, freshly-baked bread and pastries and drinks.
