Jessy Mendiola: I would never, ever destroy a relationship

MANILA, Philippines – Jessy Mendiola vehemently denied that she caused the breakup of Angel Locsin and Luis Manzano.

Jessy is being courted by Luis after his breakup with Angel, which according to reports happened January this year.

“I would never, ever destroy a relationship,” she said in an interview aired in “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on Monday.

“If it were true, I wouldn't be here now facing you guys,” she added, addressing the press. “For me it was clear na they broke up already when Luis started courting me.”

She also pointed out that she wouldn’t do such since the same thing happened to her before.

"I wouldn't do that to any other girl,” she said. “Malinis ang puso ko.”

The Kapamilya actress said she doesn’t mind if Luis and Angel talk about their “issues.”

“Problema na nila 'yon, kung gusto nilang mag-usap about it or anything or clear anything with each other. I think that's their problem,” she explained.

“Pero 'wag nila ko isasali at 'wag niya akong isasali,” she added.

Meanwhile in the “Funfare” column of Ricky Lo in “The Philippine Star,” Luis supported Jessy’s denial and said, “Even my family knows the reason why we broke up and Jessy was never in it.”

On the other hand, Angel believes that Luis and Jessy are just looking for the “right timing” before they admit their relationship.

“Darating din ang panahon na aaminin naman nila na sila na, gano'n. May proseso kasi 'yan, di ba? Siguro binabalanse lang nila kung paano nila aaminin, di ba?” she said.

Angel then added, “Pero buhay nila 'yan, iba na ako. Tinanggal naman nila ako sa eksena, so okay na 'yon.” - Joyce Jimenez
