Nikki Gil on rumored beau: He’s my source of joy

MANILA, Philippines - “Basta, he's a special friend.”
 
Thus said Nikki Gil when asked about her rumored boyfriend BJ Alber in an episode of “MYX News” on cable music channel MYX recently.
 
Nikki was asked to comment on the viral Instagram photo that shows her and reported non-showbiz boyfriend BJ Albert in the said TV show, which she co-hosts with Chino Lui Pio.
 
 
Referring to the guy in the said photo, Nikki told Chino: “That guy is my lawyer... No, he’s my friend. He’s my special friend,” 
 
When asked by Chino to elaborate, Nikki added, “Yun pa rin naman, he’s my special friend.”
 
“We’re sticking with special friend?” Chino asked.
 
“He’s the one,” Nikki quipped, while laughing.
 
But turning serious, she said: “But no, no. Sige na nga, i-explain ko na nga... At the moment, he’s my source of joy. "
 
While Nikki has admitted in early 2013 that she is currently dating, the ABS-CBN artist is mum about the specifics of her relationship with her rumored non-showbiz beau, who the media has identified as BJ Albert.
 
The 27-year-old singer-artist was in a relationship with TV host-actor Billy Crawford, but the broke up in 2013 after being together for several years.
