Paulo: Distance a factor why romance with KC didn't work out

MANILA, Philippines – Paulo Avelino admitted he “had something special†with KC Concepcion.
However, the actor—who said he is currently single—explained distance was one of the reasons why his romance with the actress-TV host didn't go “to the next level.â€
“To be honest, we had something special. We were special friends. Siguro we tried din to take it to the next level pero maraming (hadlang),†he told members of the press on Thursday, May 29. “Well, first of all, siguro yung pinakamalaking nangyari is yung distance.â€
KC is currently taking acting classes in the United States.
Fans speculated that the two nipped their blossoming romance in the bud over the summer after KC's cryptic posts on Instagram last April.
“We're still friends. Minsan kasi, it looks so easy kapag malayo. Pero sa iyo talaga, it's different. Yun lang talaga, it's the distance,†Paulo explained.
He also commented on KC's rumored pregnancy. “I think it's not true. It's not, kasi nagpopost naman siya ng kung anu-ano. And she's been seeing a lot of Filipinos,†he said.
Asked if he's currently dating other women now, the 26-year-old actor said: “Ngayon, gusto ko muna mag-concentrate on my career.â€
Paulo is part of the upcoming primetime soap opera “Sana Bukas pa ang Kahapon,†which headlines Bea Alonzo.
“Kumbaga, napakarami ko ring ginagawa maliban sa bagong show. This alone, ubos talaga yung oras ko,†he said.
“I'm really honored and happy na makatrabaho si Bea,†the actor added. “Sa akin lang, I never imagined Bea to be bubbly. Masayahin lang po talaga siyang tao. Dati kasi, I imagined Bea na elegante masyado and always poised. Pero sa set, hindi e, you can see na tao rin pala siya.â€
“Sana Bukas pa ang Kahapon†also stars Albert Martinez and Maricar Reyes, among others.
