MANILA, Philippines - Art 2 Art continues to bring ìusapang sining at kultura para sa lahatî this month as host Lisa Macuja interviews an array of interesting personalities from various art disciplines.

Aired nationwide every Sunday at 3:30 p.m. on DZRH (666 khz on the AM band), Art 2 Art can be viewed simultaneously on Cablelink cable televisionís Channel 9 and accessed on the Internet through http://dzrh.tripod.com.

Produced by the Manila Broadcasting Company, Art 2 Art features the following episodes:

July 3 — Film Development Council of the Philippines chairman Briccio Santos discusses the government agency’s promotion of Philippine cinema through projects such as Sineng Pambansa and Sine ng Masa. As head of the National Film Archive of the Philippines, he also delves into current efforts to save the country’s film treasures.

July 10 — Tony Perez, a creative writer, playwright, poet, lyricist, painter, fiber artist and psychic journalist, shares how he got his start in the arts and how he managed to cultivate this passion despite having a 9-to-5 job. Tanghalang Pilipino will give him a tribute through a Tony Perez retrospective of plays in September.

July 17 — The Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, Inc. or FILSCAP, as represented by its vice president, multi-awarded composer Trina Belamide, and GM Debbie Gaite highlights the group’s mission of safeguarding the rights of music copyright owners, both Filipinos and foreigners alike.

July 24 — Ral Arrogante, a self-taught artist who now heads the Society of Philippine Sculptors, talks about his ìspecializationîó scrap metal sculptures that often bear an environmental theme and which represent the essence of recycling and reusing discarded materials and turning them into amazing artworks.

July 31 — The program caps the month with a tribute to the late National Artist for Historical Literature Carlos Quirino, with his son Richie Quirino as resource speaker.
