Sarah again chosen Box-Office Queen
MANILA, Philippines - The Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Awards has crowned Sarah Geronimo (photo) again as its Box-Office Queen (with John Lloyd Cruz as Box-Office King). The award came on the strength of Sarah and John Lloyd’s romantic comedy last year, You Changed My Life from Star Cinema.
Sarah won the same award last year for A Very Special Love, also starring John Lloyd and produced by Star Cinema.
“I want to thank everyone who supported You Changed My Life, John Lloyd and the Guillermo Mendoza awards,” said Sarah.
The Viva artist finished shooting all her scenes in Hating Kapatid and its music video before she left for her Record Breaker concert tour in the US. Hating Kapatid sees Sarah starring with Judy Ann Santos for the first time. It is Sarah’s first serious dramatic role and she is flattered and happy to work with Judy Ann.
Sarah is now in San Jose, California, and is overjoyed at the warm reception she got from Filipinos based there. The outpouring of support from Filipinos in Las Vegas and San Diego also overwhelmed her.
What’s also amazing is that Sarah’s fans actually went to the venue in the US and bought tickets to the show.
Sarah also relates in Twitter that she enjoys holding concerts in the US since it gives her the chance to go jogging and shopping.
When she comes back end of the month, Sarah will be busy promoting Hating Kapatid.
