The Beacon’s new showroom heralds Amorsolo tower

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Preparation for the construction of The Beacon’s third tower is underway with the completion of the new showroom of the first high-rise residential development of Geo Estate Development Corp. The original showroom was relocated to the ground floor of Roces Tower, the first of three buildings of The Beacon already completed and occupied, to give way to the Amorsolo Tower. More than giving a preview of the residential resort located at the corner of Don Chino Roces and Arnaiz Avenue in Barangay San Lorenzo, Makati City, the showroom raises excitement to a new home address within the country’s premier central business district (CBD).

“The new showroom, which opened on July 15, signals the beginning of a bigger happening for Geo Estate,” says Edwin P. Siongco, vice president for marketing and sales of Geo Estate. “We are tearing down the old showroom to give way to the construction of the next and final building.”

The Amorsolo Tower will rise along the street of the same name as the soon-to-be-completed second tower named Arnaiz, named after the street in front of it, awaits turnover to unit owners. The Amorsolo Tower will be the same as the Roces Tower, which was completed and turned over to unit owners in 2012, in shape and height. But it will have more units.

The 44-storey Amorsolo Tower offers a range of studio up to 2 bedroom units, including garden, balcony and penthouse units. Siongco reveals that half of all units in the tower are already sold while it is still three years away from its target completion date. Most buyers are Filipinos and foreigners overseas, the same future residents of the almost sold out Arnaiz Tower. The Amorsolo buyers are a mix of property investors, migrant workers and foreign citizens looking to retire in the Philippines. Many Arnaiz and Amorsolo towers buyers bought multiple units to combine these into a single bigger home.

Siongco says overseas buyers like The Beacon primarily because of its location in Makati City. It is right across the Walter Mart shopping mall, the Don Bosco church and the Don Bosco Technical Institute. On the other side is Makati Cinema Square while the Greenbelt, Landmark and Glorietta malls are just nearby.

“Our location is becoming a prime address because of the buildup of hotels on the same street,” adds Siongco, referring to the New World Hotel, Fairmont Hotel, Raffles Residences and Dusit Hotel along Arnaiz Avenue.

Adding to the advantage of The Beacon over other condominiums in the vicinity is its unique furnishing and bigger amenities that add value to buyers’ money. The swimming pool is Olympic size at 450 square meters and 50 meters long. The bi-level gym is 255 square meters. Other amenities in the podium level are a kiddie pool, playground, jogging trail, playroom, spa, garden, lounge, function room and emergency clinic. At the roofdeck, residents can hold small parties or barbecues with Manila Bay, the Makati skyline or the mountains of Laguna as backdrop. They can also enjoy a majestic sunrise view of Laguna de Bay, a magnificent sunset view of Manila Bay and a towering view of the Makati Skyline in the Sky Lounge. There is private 20-seater theater, where family and friends can catch a movie.

Beacon residents will truly enjoy a rich resort lifestyle with the convenience of low-density living as each tower have four high-speed elevators and are separated by eight meters of breathing space.

“You don’t have to go out of Makati to get this relaxing space,” Siongco says of The Beacon. “There is no other place like this in Makati.”

Meanwhile, the new showroom welcomes homebuyers with a friendly reception and comfortable lounge set in a minimalist design. A scale model of The Beacon building and unit cross section plus amenity area show the interior and exterior layout of the new community. Prospective property investors can get a briefing on The Beacon from Geo Estate’s sales staff in small round tables lining high glass walls that let in the daytime’s brightness and a picture of the Don Chino Roces side neighborhood.

There are no dressed up model units in the compact showroom unlike in the previous one, which was bigger. The model studio unit is in the 32nd floor of the 44-story Roces Tower.

“The good thing is they (homebuyers) can see the actual unit,” says Siongco.

Founded by Francisco Licuanan III and Miriam Katigbak, Geo Estate specializes in horizontal and vertical residential projects in the Metropolis and soon, in other developing municipalities.
