Mitsubishi urges Montero Sport owners to avail of free inspection campaign

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC), in compliance with the directive of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), continues to comply and encourage previous generation Montero Sport owners to avail of its “Free Inspection Campaign.” The company has been collaborating with all its nationwide dealerships to issue Technical Service Letter (TSL) which has started since December 2015.

As of March 31, 2016, a total 10,835 units have availed of the free inspection campaign. Noteworthy, none of these units inspected exhibited the alleged sudden unintended acceleration (SUA) complaint which has been the subject of DTI’s Consumer Protection Group investigation to date.

MMPC said it is grateful for the support and cooperation of its valued Montero Sport owners who have availed of the campaign. While the DTI investigation process is still ongoing, the rest of the Montero Sport owners are encouraged to visit any of its nationwide dealers for free check-up and thereafter obtain “Certificate of Quality Reassurance.”

The company also extends its heartfelt appreciation to all Mitsubishi Motors customers nationwide for increasingly patronizing and believing in its products and services. For this reason, MMPC is committed to offer high quality products and services suitable to meet the demand of the Philippine market.
