PSEi hits another record high

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Stock Exchange made another record as it closed at 5,832.30 on Wednesday, its 38th record high for the year.

The main index grew by 8.89 points, beating Dec. 11's record close of 5,831.50.

“The recent slew of good news triggered by the economy’s stellar performance and S&P’s recent credit outlook upgrade has resulted in a continued post-Christmas rally,” PSE President and Chief Executive Officer Hans B. Sicat said.
