Honda resumes sales of Jazz S variant
MANILA, Philippines - Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) has resumed sales of the 1.3 liter Jazz S variant this month following the recovery of supply from its manufacturing plant in Thailand which again started production last March 26.
Lack of supply from Thailand, which suffered from severe flooding late last year, forced HCPI to import cars from Japan, therefore making their units more expensive than their competitors.
HCPI distributes the City, Jazz, Civic, Accord and the CR-V sport utility vehicle models in the country. As of April, it was importing the Jazz, Civic, Accord, and CR-V models from Japan. It is currently ramping up production of its City model in its production plant in Laguna.
HCPI said sales of the Thailand-made Jazz resumed on May 18, 2012.
In February, HCPI brought in the Japan-made Honda Jazz Special Edition which utilizes the 1.5- liter engine and five-speed automatic transmission also found in the V variant assembled in Thailand. It was priced at P899,000.
The Jazz 1.3-liter S variant is available in either manual or automatic transmission. The suggested retail price for manual transmission is P752,000 and P792,000 for automatic transmission.
Its exterior features include: multi-reflector halogen headlight, LED tail lamp, micro-type roof-mounted antenna. Interior: ULT (Utility/Tall/Long modes) seats, integrated audio system with CD/MP3 player, USB connectivity and auxiliary port, tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, dual glove box, Black and dark blue fabric interior. Safety features include: G-Force control collision safety technology, Dual front airbags, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution.
The Jazz 1.3-liter S variant is available in exterior colors taffeta white, crystal black and alabaster silver.
