Vista Land building P2-billion condo along Taft

- Zinnia B. Dela Peña -

MANILA, Philippines -  Vista Land and Lifescapes is building a P2.1-billion, 39-story, affordable condominium project, Camella Condo Homes, to rise along Taft Avenue in Manila.

The project, which will be undertaken though Vista Land’s vertical marketing arm Vista Residences, is the first of a series of high-rise developments that the firm will be building beside De La Salle University.

“While Vista Land already dominates the house-and-lot market nationwide, we also see the need to fill the demand for affordable vertical housing,” said Vista Residences president Maribeth C. Tolentino.

Camella Condo Homes, situated on a 1,382 square meter property, will offer a total of 1,141 units ranging from studio to two bedroom flats.

Studio units, with a size of about 18.23 to 20.75 square meters, will sell at P1.6 million to P1.8 million while one-bedroom units with a floor area of 23.91 to 31.52 sqm. are priced at P2.2 million to P3.4 million.

Two-bedroom flats, ranging from 36 sqm to 40 sqm, will be sold at P3.2 million to P4 million.

Tolentino said construction of Camella Condo Homes would commence in the fourth quarter of 2012. Completion is slated by the third quarter of 2016.

Aside from University students, the project is also targeting single working professionals, overseas workers and young couples because of its affordability and easy payment packages.

Other features of the project include a Sky Garden at the roof deck and the amenities area called The Club at the fourth floor which will feature a swimming pool, social hall, function rooms, study hall, and a fitness gym.
