WATCH: Gordon says Duterte falling on own sword

MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte is falling on his sword with his provocative rhetoric, his ally Sen. Richard Gordon said on Monday.

"Tama lang na ipakita niya na galit siya sa droga. Pero wag na siya mag ingay na 'Papatayin kita,' 'I will kill you,' hindi tama 'yan," Gordon said at Senate inquiry into drug-related killings.

Duterte has been making incendiary remarks threatening drug suspects and assuring the police force of having their back.
