Creamline, Choco shoot for the top
MANILA, Philippines — Sister teams Creamline and Choco Mucho aim to keep their place at the helm as they tangle with Petro Gazz and Capital1 Solar, respectively, today in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference at the Sta. Rosa Sports Complex in Laguna.
A win by the Cool Smashers over the Angels (5-2) at 6 p.m. and the Flying Titans against the Solar Spikers (1-6) at 4 p.m. would cut the three-way logjam on top with the PLDT High Speed Hitters at 6-1 to two.
The sister teams are coming off victories with Creamline escaping past Cignal 26-28, 22-25, 25-22, 25-21, 16-14 last March 26 and Choco Mucho demolishing Galeries Tower, 25-13, 25-19, 25-17, last Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena.
Tots Carlos will be the player to watch after unleashing a career-high 38 points including four straight late in the fifth set that turned the tide in their come-from-behind triumph over Cignal.
