LOOK: UAAP kicks off Season 80

MANILA, Philippines — “Let the games begin,” aptly said Far Eastern University’s Dr. Michael Alba in the opening ceremony of the University Athletic Association, Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The festivities kicked off with a gesture faithful to Season 80’s mantra, “Go for Great.” Host FEU feted various former athletes who gained star status in their respective sports.

Among the notable faces in the bunch were former UP volleybelle Pia Cayetano, legendary UST tactician Aric del Rosario, Gilas standout Terrence Romeo of FEU, PBA great from NU Danny Ildefonso, and famed cagers Enrico Villanueva from Ateneo and Renren Ritualo from De La Salle, to name some.
