 MANILA, Philippines - Olivarez College turned back National University, 75-73 to complete a five-game sweep of the first round elimination in the Universities and Colleges Basketball League (UCBL) Summer Invitational at the Buddhacare gym in Quezon City last Tuesday.

Jayboy Solis and John Udoba led the Olivarez Sea Lions with 13 points while Pruvil Bermudez and Dwight Saguiguit combined for 20 markers they highlighted with six triples as they survived the Bulldogs and remained the only unbeaten squad in the pre-season tournament.

NU slipped to 3-3, falling short despite the 24-point performance of Koy Galuelo in the tournament sponsored by Ever Bilena-Blackwater, Smart and Advanced Solution, Inc.

Diliman College also closed out its first round campaign with an 86-56 drubbing of Jose Rizal University.

Alex Diakhite produced a double double games of 21 points and 12 rebounds as he powered the Blue Dragons to their third win in five games.
