Panaguiton, two others top Corporate Cup

MANILA, Philippines - Eugene Panaguiton of Crown Pipes rolled a 1613 to capture the Group A crown while May Sabater of Mighty Lynx and Lawrence de Jesus of Philflex took the Group B and C titles, respectively, in the Architects Bowling Club’s Singles Event Championship Corporate Cup Masters at the E-Lanes in San Juan last week.

Hermie Prudente of Steeltech scored a 1600 while Ronie Javier of Boysen Paints made a 1549 to finish second and third, respectively, to Panaguiton while Sabater turned in a 1594 to beat Eugene Ferraris of Crown Pipes, who had a 1593, and Joan Mendoza of Boysen Paints, who shot a 1546, for the Group B plum in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

De Jesus, on the other hand, bagged the Class C diadem with a 1350, besting Russell Mapanoo of Syngenta, who had a 1325, and Greg Mare of DN Steel, who scored a 1321.

Mighty Lynx pooled 36 points to clinch the overall team championship, with Crown Pipes finishing second with 33 markers and Boysen Paints scoring 28 points for third.

Meanwhile, ABC president Denis Jalandoon is inviting all architects, sponsors, and ABC members to participate in the event held every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at E-Lanes.
