Javier cops ABC Pres Cup plum

MANILA, Philippines - Past president Ronnie Javier of Glass Asia rolled a 171 to beat Boy Roldan of Crown Pipes by 20 pins and rule the Architects Bowling Club’s President Cup’s at E Lanes, Ortigas Avenue, Greenhills, San Juan City last week.

Nepthy del Rosario of Boysen Paints finished third while Abe Firmeza of Philflex Wires and Cables ended up fourth in the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Meanwhile, Lou Laforteza of Emerald Pipes and Buddy Segui of American Wires combined for 1635 to cop the ABC’s doubles event crown, while Greg Mare and Toto Abear of WeKonstruct placed second with 1616 and Bryan Soliven and Benny Tan of Matson Builders scored 1567 for third.

The tournament, backed by Concrete Ventures, Philflex Cables, Duraflex TW/THW/THHN Wires, Boysen Acrytex/Knoxout/Wallguard/Healthy Homes, DN Steel, Romari Constructions, E.S.Vidal Builders, Goldbridge Neighborhood Dental, PNS Advanced Steel Tech, Moldex Pipes, Coach Furnitures, Miraga Trading, Steeltech, Morning Sun, Consnet Builders and Novelle Furnitures, resumes on  Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. as the ABC board decided to take a break to give way to an event at E Lanes.
