Manglicmot, Naval rule ABC tourney

MANILA, Philippines - Dante Manglicmot of August Alliance rolled a six-game series of 1319 to capture the Group I crown while Tony Naval of Miraga Trade scored 1109 to bag the Group 2 plum in the Architects Bowling Club’s monthly championship at the Green Valley lanes in Pasig City last week.

Noel del Rosario of Homeworks finished second with 1297, Violy Magsakay of Firefly-Royu had 1213 and Lito Zubiri of Concrete Ventures made 1200 to place third and fourth, respectively, in Group I of the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Ruben Mina of Duraflex submitted 1083, Jimmy Ocampo of American Wires scored 1051 while Kathlyn Ong of Moldex had 1044 to finish second, third and fourth, respectively, in Group 2.

The tournament, backed by Unitec Pipes, Emerald Vinyl, Hocheng Phils., Philflex Wires and Cables, Atlanta Pipes, Euro Dach, ProActive Pest Control, ABC Phils., Supreme Steel Pipes Corp., Crown Pipes, Boysen Konstruct/Knoxout/Virtuoso, DN Steel and Famcor, resumes at 7 tonight with the opening of the Sponsors Cup, also at the Green Valley lanes.
