Kahit pamangkin ng Senadora... Luis, naghubo’t hubad sa ilog  

Hindi pala pinaalam ng Kapuso hunk na si Luis Hontiveros sa kanyang pamilya na sobrang daring ang role niya sa pelikulang Palitan ng Vivamax.

May mga lumabas na still photos si Luis kung saan nasa may ilog ito kasama ang sexy actress na si Cara Gonzales. Hubo’t hubad si Luis at walang takip na plaster ang kanyang harapan kaya tiyak na ikatutuwa nito ng mga beking matagal nang pinapantasya ang pamangkin ni Sen. Risa Hontiveros.

“Hindi ko pa po sinasabi. Ang kuwento ko lang sa nanay ko sexy drama. Hindi naman na po ako pagagalitan, I’m old enough. I’m just trying to build my career as an actor at alam din po nila ‘yung passion ko sa pag-arte and this is just another role na malalagay natin sa experience natin as an actor and I like any other family alam ko magiging supportive naman at the end of the day,” paliwanag ni Luis.

Pumayag daw na gawin ni Luis ang Palitan dahil gusto niyang makatrabaho ang award-winning film director na si Brillante Mendoza. “Until now, I’m still overwhelmed working with Brillante Mendoza. For someone na nagsisimula pa lang somehow tapos first indie film ko pa and would be working with a direktor like him, talagang I’m truly blessed and thankful sa tiwala sa opportunity na binigay nila para mapakita ko ‘yung kakayanan ko sa pag-arte sa pelikulang ito. And working with him is hindi lang siya maganda sa resume ko, pero ang dami kong natutunan sa kanya. Lots of wisdom on and off cam. So, that I’m very grateful also for him.”

Kahit daw sexy movie ang Palitan, hindi naman daw ito matatawag na isang porn film. “It is a well written film na hindi lang puro sex, it’s not like porn. You have to watch the film from start to finish para maintindihan mo ‘yung istorya, bawat rekado ng bawat karakter dito,” diin pa niya.

Kasalukuyang napapanood si Luis sa GMA primetime teleserye na To Have And To Hold.

Fil-Am costume designer, dinamitan si Jennifer Hudson

Ang Filipino-American costume designer na si Clint Ramos ang nagdamit sa Oscar winner na si Jennifer Hudson sa pagganap nito bilang legendary singer na si Aretha Franklin sa pelikulang Respect.

Nag-research daw nang husto si Clint sa pag-recreate ng wardrobe ni Aretha sa nagdaang dekada.

“She was very photographed beginning the Columbia years to her death. But before that, there was not a lot of photographs of her so I had to imagine that through research, using all of that knowledge about historical garments. So I had to really conjure that up. And also, we don’t know what she wore in her house. We don’t know what she wore when she was down and out. So a lot of that was just like me imagining what looks could have been,” sey ni Ramos.

Pinanganak at lumaki sa Cebu si Clint at ginawa raw niyang impluwensiya sa paggawa niya ng mga damit ni Aretha ay ang kanyang inang si Erlinda na ka-era ang legendary singer.

“When I was working on Respect, I drew a lot from my mom. I drew a lot from the way she dressed. I drew a lot from watching her getting dressed when I was a kid. There’s a scene in the movie that I used one of my mom’s fur coats. Also, I did this musical called Here Lies Love about Imelda Marcos and I used that same coat in that show. Costume design is not only about fashion, it’s also about character. I like to observe how people behave, and how their appearance actually affects their behavior.”

Nanalo ng Tony Award si Clint noong 2016 para sa ginawa niyang costumes sa Broadway play na Eclipse. 

Naging costume designer din siya ng iba pang musicals tulad ng Once On This Island, Torch Song at Here Lies Love. First studio film ni Clint ang Respect.

The Masked singer host Nick Cannon, nagluluksa sa pagkamatay ng anak

In mourning ang The Masked Singer host na si Nick Cannon dahil sa pagpanaw ng kanyang youngest son na si Zen dahil sa sakit na brain cancer and subsequent tumor. Five months old pa lang si Zen at ang youngest sa pitong anak ni Cannon. Ang ina ni Zen ay si Alyssa Scout.

Sa kanyang talk show na The Nick Cannon Show, sinabi ng 41-year old TV host and comedian ang pagpanaw ng kanyang baby son.

“Over the weekend I lost my youngest son to a condition called hydrocephalus that is pretty much a malignant, midline brain tumor – brain cancer.

“I always noticed he had a cough and so I wanted to check it out. He had this interesting breathing and by the time he was two months I noticed he had this nice sized head too – a Cannon head. We didn’t think anything of it. But I wanted to take him to the doctor for his sinus and breathing. We thought it would be routine.

“Ultimately, it was cancer in the brain and the tumor began to grow a lot faster. And so we knew that time was. This weekend I made a valid effort to spend the most quality time I could spend with Zen. We woke up on Sunday – I got to spend the weekend with him – and I woke up on Sunday and was like, ‘I feel like I want to go to the water.’ We got a chance to go to the ocean.

“I didn’t know how I was going to handle today, but I just wanted to grieve with my family. This special show dedicated to my beautiful son, Zen.”
