Obvious na alam ni Dawn Zulueta na maaapektuhan, kahit papaano, ang takbo ng kanyang showbiz career, dahil sa naging desisyon ni Richard Gomez na tumakbo for Mayor of Ormoc City.

But for her, since she has the permission of her husband, Anton Lagdameo and children Jacobo and Ayisha, she plans to stay in showbiz, hangga’t may project na ino-offer sa kanya.

Did we hear it right that after You’re My Home, the ongoing series na kasama niya si Richard, in her next assignment, Piolo Pascual muna ang leading man niya?

Richard, on this balita, reacted happily (for Dawn obviously) and said: “Good luck to the two of them.”

Janella nababaitan kay Elmo

Engaging na kausap ang young at baguhang aktres na si Janella Salvador.

Not only because articulate siya in both Tagalog and English, she sounds sincere too, sa bawat tanong na ipukol sa kanya. Lalo na when she guested in Boy Abunda’s late night talk show, Tonight With Boy Abunda, last Wednesday.

Asked by Boy to again narrate her meeting with her Dad, rock singer Juan Miguel Salvador, na never niyang napanood mag-perform at six years ago pa niya nakausap, she honestly told Boy that it was she who suggested to her mom, Janine Desiderio, who was a member of the cast of the highly admired popular West End show, Miss Saigon, na panoorin naman nila isang beses ang show ng kanyang ama.

After the show daw, she had a talk with her dad. And that was it.

Asked if may hinanakit siya sa kanyang ama, her quick reply, wala raw.

Has her mom ever told her kung bakit sila naghiwalay ng kanyang ama?

“Yes,” ang kanyang sagot. “Walang itinatago sa akin ang mother ko. Neither has she ever lied to me.”

Sa tanong if nanliligaw sa kanya ang dalawang leading men niya sa Haunted Mansion, which she topbills, sina Jerome Ponce at Marlo Mortel, ang sagot niya that she feels, gusto siya ng mga itong ligawan.

While we know his Navotas Congressman brother, Toby Tiangco, personally, we have yet to be introduced to him.

Thanks din to the personal gift Ormoc Congresswoman Lucy Torres and her actor-politician husband, Richard Gomez, sent us after Christmas. And to husband and wife, TV and radio host, Roselle and Anthony Taberna, plus their two pretty daughters, Zoey and Helga, for the pre-New Year gift we received from them.

Congratulations, too, sa success ng kanilang Taberna Group of Companies: Outbox Media Powerhouse Corporation, Ka Tunying’s Café and Bread on Visayas Avenue, and The Blounge, Salon for Men and Women, located just across the ABS-CBN Studios, Mother Ignacia Street, Quezon City.

And on behalf of my nephew, Fred Marc Dumalagan, thank you to Sir Noel Susano of the RVR Auto Restoration on Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City for the repair he did with his Vios car, making it look good as new after an accident.
