Mojdeh, Esmero wagi ng MOS

MANILA, Philippines – Nakuha ng mga record breakers na sina Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh at Charize Esmero ang Most Outstanding Swimmer (MOS) sa Elite Category sa idinaos na 83rd Philippine Swimming League (PSL) National Series sa Diliman College Swimming Pool sa Quezon City.

Dinomina ni Mojdeh, Immaculate Heart of Mary-College-Parañaque standout ang girls’ 9-years event sa pagsisid ng kabuuang 50 puntos, habang may 40 puntos ang mag-aaral ng University of the Philippines Integrated School varsity na si Esmero matapos pangunahan ang girls’ 12-years category.

“Sixty PSL Most Outstanding Swimmers fought not just for medals alone but they pushed for a competitive best of their clocks. It’s a good series and we’re hoping that these kids will continue to improve in our next leg,” wika ni  PSL President Susan Papa.

Ang iba pang nagpasikat sa girls division ay sina Janine Consul (7), Aubrey Tom (8), Nicolette Beatrice Belgica (10), Davidica Justiana Salaya (11), Jesreel Francisco (13), Erika Maureen Falminiano (14) at Olga Ortiz (15-over) habang sina Morie Rylan Pabalan (7), Finn Jason Lock (8), Lee Grant Cabral (9), Connor Jackson Lock (10), Rizalino Cortez III (11), Gregg Alexander Marasigan (12), Ferdinand Ian Trinidad (13), Viel Voltaire Vitug (14) at Lans Rawlin Donato (15-over) ang  nagpasikat sa kalalakihan.

Tinanghal na overall champion ang Diliman Pre­paratory School na pina­ngangasiwaan ni  technical director Ed Mascardo sa naipong 678 puntos, sinundan ng Cavite Sailfish Swim Club ni coach Edwin Valdez na may 647 puntos.

Ang St. Scholastica’s College-Manila ang tur­mer­sera (638) kasunod ang Camp Aguinaldo Streaml­ine, Wesleyan College of Manila, Joey Andaya Seagulls Swim Team, New Era University, Angelicum Swim Club, MCUR3 Aquaspeed Sailfish, Marikina Aquabears, Amoranto Swimming Team at Ville St. John Academy.

“We’re happy with the outcome of the competition. A lot of swimmers have improved especially in the motivational level. We will continue monitoring their times to ensure that they’re on the right track,” dagdag pa ni Papa.
