Pinoy jins sasabak sa SMART CPJ tilt
MANILA, Philippines - Pag-aagawan ng mga taekwondo jins ang mga puwesto para sa Philippine team pool sa paghataw ng 2011 in the Smart Carlos Palanca Jr (CPJ) taekwondo championships sa Pebrero 6 sa Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
“The best blackbelts will display their talents and skills in this prestigious tournament,” wika ni Philippine Taekwondo Association president Robert Aventajado.
Humigit-kumulang sa 700 participating jins ang magbibida sa sparring at poomsae events ng torneong suportado ng SMART Communications Inc., PLDT, Milo at ng Philippine Sports Commission.
Ang mga senior, junior at grade school entries ay maaaring sumabak sa free sparring, habang ang mga poomsae events ay may tatlong kategorya.
Ang mga ito ay ang individual, pair at team (men and women) sa six divisions - grade school, junior, first senior A, 1st senior B, 1st pair at 1st team.
Sinabi ni organizing chairman Sung Chon Hong na ang mga miyembro ng Philippine team ngayong taon ay lalahok sa world taekwondo championships sa Korea at sa Southeast Asian Games sa Jakarta, Indonesia.
Ang mga miyembro ng national junior team ay isasabak naman sa Asian junior taekwondo championships sa Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at ang mapapasama sa poomsae team ay sasali sa world poomsae championships sa Vladivostok, Russia.
