Bag-ong PSC commissioner mo-focus sa Visayas area

CEBU - Ang bag-ong napiling Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Commissioner nga si Fr. Vic Uy mohatag sa iyang dakung pagtagad sa Kabisay-an ang tahas nga gihatag ngadto kaniya sa sports governing body.

Sumala pa ni Fr. Uy nga ang iyang assigned areas of concern naglakip sa mga probinsiya sa Samar, Leyte, Bohol ug Cebu.

“I will take over on the sports assigned to Commissioner Richie Garcia. And I will carry out the tasks given to me by the office,” matud pa ni Fr. Uy.

Gibutyag ni Fr. Uy nga ang tanang gimbuhaton ug programa nga iyang pagadumalaon sa nagkalain-laing mga dapit sa Kabisay-an nakalinya sa sports program sa PSC.

“I feel honored at the same time humbled to have the position. I am challenged to continue to work very hard for the development and improvement of the Philippine sports and our athletes,” sumala pa ni Fr. Uy.

Ang kanhi vice president for finance sa University of San Carlos (USC) ug kanhi PSC regional head ug PRISAA president nga si Fr. Uy nidasig sa mga Sugbuanong atleta sa pagpakita og maayong labok sa ilang tagsa-tagsa ka duwa aron makakuha og luna sa national team ug morepresentar sa nasud sa nagkalain-laing internasyonal nga kompetisyon.

‘I hope that there will be more Cebuano athletes, who could enter the national squad. But they should have to work hard for it. I am not saying that since I am a commissioner already, I could handpick athletes from Cebu. They had to pass through a series of requirements first before they could enter the team. That’s why I am encouraging them to really work hard and excel in their respective sports,” matud ni Fr. Uy.

Sa pagka karon, gawas nga commissioner, si Fr. Uy mao sab ang PSC executive director kay wala pay makapuli sa iyang posisyon. Si Fr. Uy nakaserbisyo sa commission kapin na sa usa ka tuig isip executive director.

Gumikan sa iyang dedikasyon, si Fr. Uy gituboy isip usa sa mga kandidato alang sa pagka-commissioner diin iyang gikaatbang ang mga kandidato nga gipaluyohan sa mga prominente ug gamhanang politicians. – BANAT NEWS
