Baby's rights

NEWBORN. The Ear received the following item from a reader: Did you know that a newborn baby has two basic rights: 1.) the right to have a name, and 2.) the right to a nationality?

NAME. The moment the baby comes out of Mama's womb he or she must immediately be given the correct name (Juan or Juana, not just Baby Boy or Baby girl, which happens a lot of times).

NATIONALITY. And he or she must immediately be identified a Filipino or American or whatever.
