Police nab Zambales massacre suspect

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — Police operatives have arrested the primary suspect in the massacre of a doctor, her three-month old child and house helper in Zambales in 2024.

In a report to Central Luzon police chief Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez, investigators said the suspect, identified only as Ryan, was arrested on Friday in Barangay San Vicente in Baguio City.

The arrest came after Judge Marifi Chua of the Regional Trial Court Branch 70 in Iba, Zambales issued a warrant of arrest for parricide last week.

A witness reportedly surfaced to give investigators leads in building up a case against Ryan for the murder of three people inside the doctor’s house in Barangay Pagatpat in Sta. Cruz, Zambales on Dec. 9, 2024.
