DOLE invites jobseekers to visit job fairs
MANILA, Philippines — With 74,687 job vacancies made available for qualified applicants, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) invited jobseekers to take advantage of the ongoing job fairs nationwide.
The DOLE said 615 employers from the business process outsourcing, retail, manufacturing, construction and transportation sectors are participating in the job fairs that run until Dec. 10.
Aside from the fairs, the DOLE said it is due to release over P47 million for the stipends of 9,000 beneficiaries that participated in the government internship program in Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Davao Region and Caraga.
The beneficiaries of the special program for employment of students will also receive their salaries, totaling over P174 million, the DOLE said.
