Preacher slain in Camarines Sur

MANILA, Philippines — A preacher of a religious sect in Camarines Sur was gunned down in Libmanan town on Wednesday.

Dindo Candellaria, 39, of the Christian Bible Baptist Church was in front of his house in Barangay Malinao when two men approached and asked for water at around 6 a.m.

When Candellaria went inside his house to get glasses of water, the suspects reportedly pulled out their guns and shot the preacher.

Candellaria died at the scene. The gunmen fled on foot toward an unknown direction.

Probers are looking for leads to identify the suspects and determine the motive for the killing.
