John Unson - The Philippine Star

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — An official of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) was shot dead by unidentified assailants, who barged into his property in Midsayap, Cotabato on Sunday.

Jordan Tayuan died from multiple gunshots to the body, according to Midsayap police chief Lt. Col. Oranza.

Reports said the assailants, armed with rifles and pistols, entered the victim’s house in Barangay Bual Sur and shot Tayuan repeatedly at close range.

The assailants fled in a waiting van toward Datu Piang in Maguindanao del Sur.

Bangsamoro Labor Minister Muslimin Sema, who chairs the MNLF, urged police as well as relatives and followers of Tayuan to help identify the killers.
