BIFF bomb maker surrenders
COTABATO CITY, Philippines — A self-confessed bomb maker of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) has surrendered in Maguindanao.
The military said the BIFF member, whose identity was withheld pending his relocation, turned over a machine gun to the First Brigade Combat Team and 6th Mechanized Battalion in Sultan Kudarat on Wednesday.
Maj. Gen. Roy Galido, 6th Infantry Battalion commander, said the surrenderee would be reintroduced to the society with the help of various government agencies.
The surrenderee admitted that he made improvised explosive devices for the BIFF, which is among the groups blamed for recent bombings in Central Mindanao.
