Parañaque Hospital provides free dialysis

MANILA, Philippines — Beginning next month, the Ospital ng Parañaque (OsParI) will provide free hemodialysis and other medical services to the residents, Mayor Eric Olivarez announced yesterday.
Olivarez said the new facilities and equipment at OsParI would be inaugurated in August.
“We will have the blessing of our new CT scan, hemodialysis machine and other hospital equipment,” he said.
He said the newly renovated intensive care unit of OsParI would be reopened.
The Olivarez administration also plans to construct a six-story building for OsParI to ease congestion at the hospital.
Olivarez was among the principal authors of the Universal Health Care Act when he was congressman.
The mayor vowed to ensure the delivery of affordable health services to his constituents.
Hospital director Jefferson Regret said OsParI’s facilities, including the pharmacy and laboratory, would be run by a private company.
