Bong Go pushes for establishment of super health centers
MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go has reiterated his call for the establishment of super health centers in key areas across the country.
In his video message at the groundbreaking for two of such health facilities in Libungan and Banisilan in North Cotabato on Monday, the senator maintained that access to quality public health services in the grassroots can be attained with the establishment of more super health centers nationwide.
The center is an improved version of a rural health unit. Among the services it offers are database management, outpatient, birthing, isolation, diagnostic, pharmacy and ambulatory surgical unit. It also offers eye, ear, nose and throat services and telemedicine and has an oncology center, physical therapy and rehabilitation center.
Go said the government allocated P3.6 billion under the 2022 Health Facilities Enhancement program to construct 305 super health centers.
He said the establishment of super health centers is a milestone not only for Cotabato, but for the country’s healthcare system.
“Through the establishment of facilities like these, I am confident that we can provide the best services and quality facilities for the benefit of Filipinos,” Go said.
