P84 million shabu seized in Cebu, Western Visayas

MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics agents confiscated shabu with an estimated street value of P84 million in operations conducted in Cebu City and Western Visayas on Tuesday.

Philippine National Police officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. said around 10 kilos of shabu valued at P68 million were seized from ”high-value” targets Cornelio Baron, 39, and Jacqueline Baron, 49, in a sting in Barangay Sambag I at around 9 p.m.

Danao said shabu valued at P13.6 million and P2.4 million was also recovered from Rex Villamin in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental and Ryan Jallorina in Pototan, Iloilo, respectively.

In Polomolok, South Cotabato, Ronald Allan Lim was arrested for possession of shabu worth P272,000 in Barangay Cannery.— John Unson
