P2.72 million shabu seized in Makati

MANILA, Philippines — Police confiscated around 400 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu valued at P2.72 million during a sting in Makati City on Thursday night.

The illegal drugs were found in the possession of Baby Madonna Vivero, 36, in Barangay Poblacion, according to National Capital Region Police Office director Maj. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr.

Meanwhile, college students Alexis Angelo Patricio, 25, and Ishmael John Ishimatu, 24, were arrested in Taguig City on Thursday afternoon for carrying 1.39 grams of shabu valued at P9,452 and a .45 caliber pistol.

Police said the two are reportedly involved in cases of robbery, theft and car theft in Taguig.
