Another Manila cop kidnapped
MANILA, Philippines — A suspended police officer was kidnapped by armed suspects in Sta. Mesa, Manila yesterday.
Pat. Real Tesoro, 41, was forcibly taken by the suspects in Barangay 601 at past 10 a.m., according Manila Police District director Brig. Gen. Leo Francisco.
Tesoro was on a motorcycle along V. Mapa street when the suspects in two black sport utility vehicles blocked his path.
Witnesses told police the suspects – four men and a woman – seized Tesoro and sped off toward an unknown direction.
Francisco said Tesoro was assigned at the Jose Abad Santos police station 7 but was transferred to the Regional Police Holding Center at the National Capital Region Police Office at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig on Feb. 1.
The police official did not reply when asked by The STAR what case Tesoro is facing.
Last week, Cpl. Alan Hilario, who was detailed at the Meisic Police Station 11, was kidnapped by at least 10 armed men in Binondo.
Francisco said they have leads on Hilario’s kidnapping.
